DENVER (KDVR) — June is commonly known among the LGBTQIA community as Pride month, and Denver PrideFest, run by The Center on Colfax, will cap off the month in Colorado’s capital on June Denver Pride kicks off with the Pride 5K and the two-day Denver PrideFest at Civic Center Park and the Sunday Coors Light PrideFest Parade.

Denver Pride serves as The Center's largest annual fundraiser, with proceeds supporting critical services including mental health support, programming for transgender and gender-diverse community members, youth and older adult services, and various other community initiatives.

Denver Pride parade, history and more. This year marks a notable change in the parade route due to construction on the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit project. The Denver PrideFest is celebrating its 51st anniversary in the Mile High City this June. Recognized as one of the top ten Pride events in the United States and the largest in the Rocky Mountain region, Denver Pride draws more thanvisitors annually to Colorado's capital city.

The celebration expanded significantly in with the addition of a full festival, and has since grown into a major cultural event for Denver and the surrounding region. Consequently, the parade will commence at 17th Avenue and Franklin Street and proceed westward, concluding at 16th Avenue and Lincoln Street.
